Kromasil Chiral


Kromasil AmyCoat and Kromasil CelluCoat are polysaccharide-based chiral phases. High purity deactivated super wide pore silica is coated with tris-(3,5-dimethylphenyl)carbamoyl functionalised amylose or cellulose selector. This is performed using a unique deposition procedure. These phases show high resolution, excellent selectivity and stable performance when switching between compatible mobile phases. Columns for normal-phase (Kromasil AmyCoat and CelluCoat) and reversed-phase (Kromasil AmyCoat RP and CelluCoat RP) applications are available.


The general features of Kromasil Chiral phases include:

  • 3, 5 and 10um particle sizes
  • Fully scalable
  • Negligible memory effects
  • Suitable for HPLC and SFC applications


Both Kromasil AmyCoat and Kromasil CelluCoat show excellent enantioselectivity for many different racemates. These phases can withstand flow rates equivalent to pressures of up to 400 bar, leading to shorter equilibration times and enabling faster analyses to be performed.
