History

Hichrom was founded in 1978 as a quality manufacturer of HPLC columns. During the ensuing years our reputation for technical excellence, speed of delivery and competitively priced products has established Hichrom firmly, as the leading UK independent manufacturer and distributor of HPLC columns.

Milestones

1978 - the birth of Hichrom as a technically based HPLC company

1986 - the launch of the EXCEL range - the world's HIGHEST performing columns

1987 - diversified into the sale of solvents

1990 - launched cartridge guard columns

1991 - launched Hichrom RPB: Hichrom manufactured silica for the analysis of basic substances

1994 - Hichrom accredited with ISO 9002 Quality Standard

1995 - Hichrom voted No 1 European column manufacturer: 100,000 columns packed

1996 - LRQA approval of the Hichrom Environmental Management System

1997 - inaugurated as Hewlett Packard Channel Partner

1998 - launch of Hichrom C8 and C18 "Batch Validated" materials

1999 - the world's largest Applications Database compiled

2000 - 1st Hichrom website unveiled

2001 - commercial production of first 2 inch preparative column

2003 - 25 year anniversary celebrations

2004 - annual production capacity increased to 50,000 columns

2005 - 7th member joins Technical Support Team
