Kromasil: Classic phases

The Kromasil range of products is based on a highly recommended, robust, pure silica manufactured by AkzoNobel Pulp and Performance Chemicals. The Kromasil Classic phases are designed to meet the highest demands in UHPLC, HPLC, SFC and SMB, from analytical to process scale and are available in a wide range of particle sizes from 1.8um to 16um. Kromasil Classic phases are available in a wide range of bonded phases and packed columns from 1.0 to 50mm i.d.

Kromasil Classic silica phases are ideal for preparative and process scale applications. In addition to high purity and excellent chemical stability, Kromasil silicas offer high mechanical strength and excellent scalability and loadability. Virtually seamless scale-up from analytical to preparative scale can be achieved.

Kromasil HILIC-D is a diol-bonded silica phase designed for the separation of polar compounds, such as organic acids, nucleobases and water soluble vitamins. It offers low bleed and is compatible with MS detection. When scaling up for preparative purifications, the high surface area can provide high loading capacity.

This  chromatogramshows the excellent MS sensitivity for the separation of melamine and cyanuric acid.
