ACE Excel UHPLC/HPLC Columns

ACE Excel columns utilise specially developed low dispersion hardware which enables high efficiency UHPLC separations up to a maximum pressure limit of 1,000 bar (15,000 psi). All the well known advantages of ACE HPLC columns, such as column-to-column reproducibility and ultra robust and reliable performance, are also available for UHPLC. ACE Excel 1.7 and 2um particle size columns offer the same selectivity as the corresponding 3, 5 and 10um HPLC phases, enabling easy scale-up from UHPLC to HPLC to preparative HPLC. ACE Excel UHPLC columns are fully scalable with ACE HPLC columns.


All ACE Excel UHPLC columns are manufactured using a proprietary HSC (High Stability Column) packing technology, which results in ultra robust columns. They incorporate an inlet frit design that reduces the risk of plugging. The relatively low back pressure of the ACE Excel 2um columns enables these columns to also be used on HPLC systems to provide a performance boost compared to standard HPLC columns, subject to HPLC system pressure limitations.


All ACE 1.7 and 2um phases are packed in ACE Excel hardware for UHPLC/HPLC separations up to 1000 bar (15,000 psi). In addition, 3 and 5um ACE C18-Amide, ACE CN-ES and ACE SuperC18 analytical columns are supplied in ACE Excel hardware. All other 3 and 5um ACE phases in the table below, can be supplied in both conventional modular ACE HPLC hardware and ACE Excel UHPLC/HPLC hardware. All 10um particle size analytical columns and all semi-preparative and preparative columns are supplied in conventional HPLC pressure rated modular hardware.
