Scientific Officer/Higher Scientific Officer

We are currently accepting applications for a Scientific Officer/Higher Scientific Officer, based in our modern production and research laboratories in Theale, Berkshire.(Full-time & Part-time)

The vacancies are suitable for graduates with a good science degree (or equivalent).

Salary and benefits:

£18,000 - £26,000 per annum full time (PLUS EVENING SHIFT ALLOWANCE). The starting salary will be based on experience and qualifications and will be reviewed annually on a merit basis.

Benefits include 23 days holiday plus Bank Holidays (and an extra day for each year of service up to 28 days), a contributory pension scheme & life assurance.

Qualifications required:

Good science degree (or equivalent) / PhD. Excellent practical skills


Full time and part-time vacancies

Afternoon/evening work.

Full-time hours: start 2.45 pm - 11.00 pm, Monday to Friday

Part-time hours: start 5.30/6.00 pm - 11.00 pm, Monday to Friday

This position involves the manufacture of HPLC columns, research and development and applications development. Qualifications, experience and technical expertise will determine whether you are suitable for Scientific or Higher Scientific Officer. As a Higher Scientific Officer you would be expected to be adept at the more complex procedures and processes.


You will be given comprehensive in-house training.
