Customer Support Specialist - Technical Department

Experience required:


A GRADUATE that has been working as an Analytical Chemist with ideally 3 to 5 years experience.  This should have been gained in an R&D, QC or Contract Analytical Laboratory where you will have worked with HPLC/UHPLC based methods using ‘state of the art’ hardware and software including various form of detector (specifically including MS).  Some experience of  ‘Method Development’ and of having worked with other analytical techniques such as Gas Chromatography would be advantageous but not essential.

Must possess good communication skills, both written and verbal, so as to be able to develop good sound supplier/customer/distributor relations.

Ability to work as part of a wider team and be willing to contribute towards shared goals and objectives

 

Hours:

38¾ hours per week, Monday to Friday (flexible hours).

Duties:


Someone who is  looking to move away from laboratory work and develop a career in a ‘Customer Support’ but very technical environment. Specifically this would involve the provision of support and advice to laboratory end-users who require troubleshooting and application guidance when using our products (chromatography columns and consumables).g customer queries by phone & email, preparing & following up quotations, updating customer records and other general office duties.

Progression:

A person who is looking long term to progress and develop  a commercial awareness, so as to be able to provide more general product technical & sales support to all our customers either directly or via distributors
